Understanding warranty is crucial when buying a used phone. Unlike new phones, used phones typically have limited or no warranty. This guide explains what to expect regarding warranty when buying a used phone in Bangladesh.

Quick Answer: Used phones typically have no manufacturer warranty. Some sellers offer shop warranty (3-6 months). mobile.com.bd/used-phones/ offers verified sellers and buyer protection.

Types of Used Phone Warranties

No Warranty: Most used phones are sold "as-is" with no warranty. If the phone breaks, you pay for repairs. This is the most common type.

Shop Warranty: Some sellers offer shop warranty (3-6 months). Covers hardware issues but not accidental damage. Only valid at the selling shop. If the shop closes, warranty ends.

Remaining Manufacturer Warranty: Some used phones still have remaining manufacturer warranty. Check IMEI on brand's official website. This is the best type of warranty for used phones.

What Shop Warranty Covers

Hardware defects – faulty components, display issues, battery problems. Software issues – may be covered. Accidental damage – typically not covered. Water damage – not covered. Normal wear and tear – not covered. Battery health – may not be covered.
